Some people seem to have the mistaken impression that relationships and cheating go together like peanut butter and jelly. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but if that is the way you think you've been really sold a bill of goods. Cheating is never ok, period. There is no excuse, I don't believe in the whole 'addiction' excuse.
If you are in a relationship with a cheater you might want to reconsider the relationship, especially if they are a serial cheater and have cheated more than once.
I'm not saying that cheating just once is OK, it's never OK to cheat. But I will say that in a long term relationship sometimes things happen and if the cheater is truly sorry and if the cheating is actually against character for them, the two of you might be able to work things out.
